Bain & Company What is the likelihood of making SAC in September 2022 if I join as an AC on April 18th at Bain & Company? I am a senior consultant at EY with 3.5 years of experience in Data Analytics. Or is March 2023 more realistic? They told me 6 months for promotion but it seems like the two promotion cycles with my different start dates give me 4 or 9 months of experience, nothing in between. I’ll be joining in the private equity group which will be new for me.

Hi, this salary is way too low after tax deduction which will be like 30 percent, coming up to around 48 to 50k per annum. That means somewhere around 4k per month. 2.5 to 3k will go away for rent, food, city travel to office cost, some weekend travel to Paris, Italy, Spain monthly will take up another 700 euros. You can save upto 800 to 1000 euros per month with tight money management.
But think about better life, better air quality, better food quality, no stress at work and no traffic and white blonde people everywhere all these are exciting things to go there for.
Sure will. Meanwhile would suggest to be active in LinkedIn and make your presence visible.

It’s very low. This is kind of starting salary at Germany for IT people. You can live with it but nothing to save. This is an ok salary if you were a bachelor, but since you’ve a family this is peanut. What’s your compensation in India?
Go there as you have long term plans since you will be able to switch & increase your pay because with your current comp in India, saving 1000 euros a month is nothing significant.
