Is 72,000 in a low cost of living city a good enough offer to make a jump for? I have 3 years experience overall 1 in public. They are offering 4 weeks vacation as well.

how much do you make now? how do the raises look like down the road?

likesmart

$60k which I know is low since I have my CPA. They target a 4% bonus at the new job and raises around the same yearly. Also looks like they promote from within and a manager told me during the interview process she is looking to retire next year.

yeah 60k is super low. don't mind me being blunt but what went wrong?

as for this offer, sound alike you can easily make more elsewhere, but if the lifestyle is what you want, good luck

Got it bumped to 74k they don’t want to do more because I don’t have experience in the role I’d be doing.

Having an Interview this week, and don't know how high I should set my salary expectations. I currently earn 24k/annum base + comission. Would it be unreasonable to say that I have 30k + comission atm? I think it also hardly depends on the location, I am currently working from Poand but would be working for a swiss company.
Currently have about 7months exp. and thoughts on this?

I got an offer from firm 1 before the memorial holiday and have been stalling because I am waiting for an offer from firm 2..
I was working with a partner from firm 2 who got me an interview with the managing partner.. I got a verbal offer last week.. the staff told me they are processing the paperwork.
Should I still wait for firm 2? I feel like I can’t stall anymore.. I feel like I really should give firm 1 a response this week 😮‍💨 but I don’t want to lose both offers

Switched from audit to advisory thinking I would like the job more. Well I don’t and now I’m thinking about completely changing paths and going to esthetician or cosmetology school. Am I crazy?? I’ve always had a passion for that type of stuff and think I would actually enjoying going to work if I did something like that.

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. I had so many non billable hours I was forced to take when I first came in. I worked my ass off in busy season. At my previous firm I never fell short of hours as it was B4. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?
