Assuming only one of you is working from home, the biggest limitation would probably be closet space.
But it'll depend on how late you/ your SO work, how much of the day they spend on calls, how loud they are, etc.
Fwiw I could barely stand our 2br when we were both working from home. It's gotten better since I've gone back into the office.
Don't do it. I've done both and can easily say getting a 2br/2bath is much more comfortable. You don't want to be on top of each other. It's worth the extra few hundred bucks a month.
Yes. I lived in a 1 br apt while wfh with my SO and 2 yo kid. SO doesn’t work and kid doesn’t go to day care. I just setup my small desk in the living room and we don’t have much furniture.
But depend on how well and tolerant you are though for someone to walk by from time to time. And have an understanding SO who will not disturb you when working. I just put myself toward the wall so that my camera doesn’t show people walking in the background.

Damn! You must have amazing focus or a very calm two year old. Or both! I have a 4000 square foot house and it’s hard to work with my 2 year old home. But I have ADHD too and a pretty crazy two year old. I bow down to you.

I admire you, KPMG, that’s impressive. Personally, I couldn’t do it. So to your point: It really depends. I also think it depends on actual size of the place, it’s layout (same layouts work much better, even if smaller sqf-wise), etc.
Definitely dependent on layout and size, but doable. My SO and I are in a one bedroom and we both have desk setups in the living room (positioned in opposite corners, facing different walls, couch/coffee table in the middle). Would be tighter if we had any other living room furniture.
Definitely doable, depending on layout. My partner and I went through lockdown/WFH in a 700 sq ft 1-bedroom & felt very comfortable. Only downside was that, when one of us had a call, we had to relocate to the bedroom so we could close the door & not disturb the other person.
Very workable. My SO and I both work from home in a 1BR condo. We're both on a lot of calls. He is set up in the living room and I'm in the bedroom, so we have a door between us that shuts. If I have early calls and I don't want to kick him out of bed, I'll start in the living room and then move back to my office when he gets up.
