Joined EY TAS mid-Feb as staff 2 (had 1.5 yoe before in audit). With the October promotion now pushed earlier to August, am I still eligible to be considered for that promotion batch? I understand that I'll finish cycle 3 FY22 evaluation in May and maybe half of cycle 1 FY23 in July... Just not sure how the timing works. Also any advice on how to bring this up to the partners would be much appreciated! EY

More like it's not bad (and in the absence of any other context).
I was at an FCB agency for a long time. 10% is pretty standard for a promotion. And yes, if you stay long enough and get promoted enough you'll find that your salary is no longer competitive. I brought this up to my supervisor once and actually got a nice additional raise to bring me a little more in line with the market, but your mileage may vary.
Lots of dependencies—what’s the salary band on the job you were in and what’s the salary band on the promoted job? 10% is a great increase. Some shops do 3% merit raises or promotions without raises.
Yes it’s good.
How much context do you need? I definitely was not underpaid to begin with. I imagine I was in the upper end of the range, since I was hired from the outside. This is my first promotion at FCB... and it was 10% bump for the next title up. If you keep getting 10% raises, do you end up on lower end of spectrum?
There is plenty of context needed. I know nothing about from what level to what level you're being promoted, does your new promotion now include managerial responsibility or some other extra new/senior work, what your accomplishments and qualifications have been and so on. All of these can greatly affect what I think about a 10% increase. I hope this helps but you don't have to give me the context - rather use what I mentioned to think through whether your increase is comparable to your merits and new role. And you should be always negotiating your increase based on these factors. Perhaps you wondering how much more context is needed is an indication you're earlier in your career and haven't had the life and professional experience to know the significance of such context yet - either way, hope this helps you and - congratulations on your promotion!
