Any tips or insights on REG? I’m feeling completely overwhelmed and unsure of what to memorize and what I just need to be familiar with. I passed FAR and AUD on the first attempt, but for some reason, REG is kicking my ass. Any tips or recommendations would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Living in Chicago with SO. We both love our apt. a ton and has been a great experience. We both just started our first full time jobs. But I’ve been thinking a lot about the cost/benefit to finding a duplex/triplex and house hacking. I am paying $1050/mo. if you total rent, utilities and parking. To me it seems like house hacking I could cut my living expense very close to 0 if I do it right. To me it seems like a great move if I can handle the extra effort that comes with it? Crazy to do this?

I’ve decided to apply for an mba next fall for fall 2024 start since I don’t have the gmat done, recs, etc. Do you think fall 2023 would be a bad time to apply for a fall 2024 start with the job market, economy, etc. Does it make sense to try to hustle and apply for round 3 this winter for a fall 2023 start instead?

Is there a point when MBA doesn't make financial sense? I'm 29 at $180k base with additional compensation typically around 15-25% over the last few years.

I like what I'm doing I think, but a top MBA had always been one of those personal goals of mine. Goal would be to maybe switch to MBB where I think compensation is slightly higher than what I'm getting right now at my level.

Does it make sense to do a 2 year program, probably be $200k in debt and miss out on $400k earnings :(?

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

I chose to go ahead this cycle without an admissions consultant and it seems like everyone uses one. Now I’m starting to doubt if saving those couple grands was a wise move. Can people who applied successfully without paying for consultants share their experience?

Consultant at tier 2 firm (ATK/PWC/OW) with fast track promotion to associate . Looking to apply at Kellogg 1y with a 4 year old GRE score 325. Indian female with undergrad background in urban planning and masters in Data science. GPA 3.9+ masters and UG. What chance do I stand? Any advice? Also thinking of 2y programs in Booth, Wharton, etc, but less inclined due to duration of the program.

24 & working in middle office at a PE firm in NYC. I like and want to stay in my role, so looking at NYU’s part time program & Columbia’s EMBA program maybe in a year or two. Also considering programs like UChicago’s Scholars program (sub 3 years YOE) but worried about working 60 hours a week and commuting every weekend for school.

Preference is for in person classes but really looking to learn in a classroom setting (non-finance background).

I have about 1 month before things kick up at work and I want to use this time to prep for the GMAT as much as possible. Does anyone have good recommendations or resources on how to prep in 30 days?
