I don’t golf, but my country club has social events/dinners and a nice swimming pool and large fitness center so I use it for those reasons. It’s a cheaper membership for access to those things without participating in golfing.

You most clubs have a social member option that is less expensive. It allows you to participate socially and swim but doesn’t include golfing or tennis.

Yeah just do a social membership. Business deals happen more often if you belong to a course that your clients want to play on but haven’t haha

My club has three membership types. Golf, tennis and pool. Pool is the cheapest and the golf is the most expensive. I have a tennis membership. I have two kids and they enjoy the pool a lot. We also like playing tennis.

We enjoy eating at the club house as well. Overall works nicely for us. You don’t have to play golf to enjoy a club. It’s a nice change of scenery, relaxed environment, green fields and good friendships. I think one of the best perks of living in suburbs.

Do the social membership option. We loved going to Sunday brunch at ours. Nobody in our house golf's.

I sold a MSFT credit spread a few weeks ago. My short leg at $205 was assigned today (dividend/learning fail). The long leg at $210 expires on Friday. I was planning on losing $ on this trade but what are my options to minimize this? Can/should I exercise my long leg early since it is currently ITM by like $1? Any assistance/advice is appreciated.
