Is a high mileage Porsche bad idea? Test drove a 2016 Cayenne, has ~55K miles and it was amazing. Felt like a new car without the new car smell. The heart says go for it, but the mind scares me about the maintenance cost. I’d really appreciate some advice on what I might be walking into if I end up falling for it. FWIW this will be my first luxury car, upgrading from a golf r.

Porsche makes an excellent car. I've had two and never had an issue. However, I would never own one out of warranty because I'm paranoid.

Porsche’s are built to last. I’ve seen several cars with over a hundred thousand miles. My neighbors Panamera has over 80k miles and he has had no issues. I just acquired a 2008 911 C4 with 65k and the mechanic who did the PPI said I should be good for several years. For piece of mind, look into an extended warranty through your local credit union.

I daily a 2001 996 Turbo with ~110k miles on it. Maintenance is not cheap but it’s a rock solid car.

I would have no issues getting a cayenne with 55k miles.

Cayenne is very reliable! Go for it and post a pic to the forum!

55K is not high mileage. Have seen a 180K Cayenne still running strong.

uplifting

55k is high? My Dodge Ram is at 240k.

Getting married next month and we’d like to have a joint checking account to cover shared expenses, however I don’t want to miss out on all the points I can rack up by consistently using my delta platinum card (spending thresholds = point bonuses, etc). Any advice out there from points pros that combined finances after marriage?

(also posted on singles bowl but want ladies opinion) I slept over at my boyfriend's apartment for the first time and found a stash of Viagra and other ED medicines in his cabinet. We have only started dating recently and his "performance" has been hit/miss. Very confused on how to approach it with him. Should I even be with him or not? I am feeling like he lied to me about his medical condition and could have brought it when I had explicitly asked him about this.

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.

Remember when Fauci said we didn't need masks then said we did but only N95 masks, but then said any face covering will work. Then said if you're vaccinated you need to double mask. Then said you can single mask. Then said no masks if you're vaccinated. Now the CDC says you need a 3rd vaccine shot to "greatly" prevent delta variant. But no, EVEN if you're vaccinated you can get Covid. Like f off. This is not exact science clearly. I have taken 2 shots but now I refuse to listen to this BS.

I'm in Silicon Valley, and been in the industry for about 15 years now. Fell into the corporate in-house role and been in those ever since. I primarily do marketing/brand design. I'd love to get to AD level, but I think my main issues has been that I rock the boat a lot and don't play the "corporate game well", piss off the wrong people. Does anyone have any advise for how to advance in corporate environement while keeping the integrity of creative alive?
