Is a JD a good move? I am currently a claims analyst for a top brokerage firm in NY. However I also want to attend law school as I think it will grow my career. Is this the right move? I plan to go into labor law (I.e. littler and Jackson Lewis) or an attorney for an insurance firm as a backup plan.

Becoming an attorney is a great career path, just make sure you're prepared for the grueling process. Will you be able to take any time off, or do you plan on working full time while attending law school?

I’ll probably do law school part time and work full time

I have my JD but not licensed (no desire to be an attorney) and it’s been such a good thing for my career and I am in-house insurance.

I think obtaining a JD is a great idea, because a lot of the best paying jobs require that, and it sounds like it's aligned with your goals. I would also maybe do a quick job search on the roles that you want to have (as a labor or insurance attorney) to see what the general requirements are in the field. It sounds like you already have a leg up in being a claims analyst, so I encourage you to keep going in your education if you can afford it ;)

Career advice please. I'm in my 20's work for a company that just went public, I'll receive a few thousand in shares for my time there. I have good pto and insurance is paid for. There is room for growth, so no real stall in my career. However I have a job offer for a contract with a crypto company for double what I make. It's a year contract and I use the company's product on my own time all the time. I am also heavily invested in the crypto space, philosophically monetarily, and time wise.

I went in-house 3 years ago. At the time, I was interviewing with 2 companies. One company was a much better cultural fit for me and I was 1 of 2 finalists. But they chose the other applicant.
