Hey, Fishies! We’re launching our first Interview/Q+A series "Portfolio Rewind: Would You Hire You?"
Like a portfolio review in reverse, creative leaders will share work they created when they first started out and critique it as if were a book that had just landed in their inbox. Then, tell us if they’d hire their younger selves knowing, and expecting, what they do now.

Im going to join FIS Global on 25th as a Java dev. I have 3.9 years total exp, current company is TCS. what it will be like to join Fis and any risks? Could anyone give a brief about the culture and what it will be like in the first 1 year?. What I can find difficult as coming from a service based company?
Received an Amazon inclined recycle outcome in August for L6 technival position. Told I needed to mini loop on another role for placement. Fast forward to this week, requested to interview for another L6 technical position - they want to do full 6 hour loop. Sys Dev Manager first role vs Sr TPM for 2nd role. Annoyed... 🤨
I got through all the rounds of interviews (including 2 technical panels) at CrowdStrike before being assured that I was nearing the end of the process and was expected to receive an offer soon… almost two weeks ago now? Anyone else experienced this kind of delay from CS or similarly sized organizations? Did I get ghosted? Anything more I should be doing?

Full matching suit is expected. Even if your interviewers are in less formal attire.
Yes. Matching suit, conservatively colored and cut blouse (or a matching suit dress — my personal favorite), neutral close-toed court shoes, and professional grooming. Confused by the patriarchy comment. From the hiring party’s perspective, part of an interview is seeing how the person “cleans up”… even if it’s not required on a daily basis.
Rising Star
Unfortunately, the patriarchy still rules and so does their dusty fashion.
Just wear the suit so it’s one less thing to worry about during your interview
