It’s a good place to start but you’ll get bored quick.

Personally I’ve found testing is a great way to learn SAP hands on

Got to learn how to drive the car first then learn how to build it

Jr Art Directors or AD interns, my agency is hiring a partner to work with me. Shoot me a PM with your book and I can give you more details.

Accenture hired me for a role that I don’t think I’m qualified for? Looking at the job req page, I only tick 1-2 of the bullets (out of 10). Important to note that I never lied or padded my experience, and have been genuine and honest throughout the interview process. I start next month. Is this imposter syndrome or an actual concern?

I have a friend who has like 5-7 years of regional firm audit experience. He would be manager for sure but doesn't have his cpa and doesn't want to get it (I told him to just do it but he’s stubborn). Problem is he's burnt out and wants a decent job working 40-45 hours a week and can focus on his true passion (mma fighting). Can anyone recommend a job/firm he should look at? Preferably a remote position. Maybe any other general advice?

I am awaiting my bar results and am working at the solo practitioner’s firm I was at all thru law school. My boss does strictly family law but has known since my first summer that my interest is personal injury, particularly med mal. Boss is allowing me (once licensed) to take PI cases and eventually med mal cases. I am essentially going to be building my own practice. I would appreciate any advice you might have for someone in my position. Thank you.

Thoughts on Dentsu Aegis? I've received an offer for a role (promotion) and thinking about whether it is a sound move - especially in this environment. They went through furloughs and pay cuts in April due to COVID. I'd be making the move from EY which is a great company to work with - but there is such a long line up to get a promotion, and for roles I've interviewed for internally I get the good ole - you were awesome and it was rly close, but someone was just a better fit.

I have the opportunity to move to a small boutique data science and data engineering consulting firm that would pay better with less hours. However, would it stunt my growth without a big 4 tag? It has more opportunities for technical growth and certifications but will push me into a more specialized role. I am mostly worried about the trade off between staying until Manager or upper senior and cashing out then. Does anyone have insight on how the two may differ in future career opportunities?

I’m not currently looking for a change (I left for industry in 2020 and really like my job). When recruiters message me on LinkedIn I reply to them because you never know when I’ll be open in the future and I don’t want to burn bridges. This one recruiter messaged me about 6 weeks ago for an assistant controller position and I replied back saying I’m currently happy with my job and am a VP of Accounting so wouldn’t be interested in an assistant controller role. He has reached out every 2 weeks

I’m 4 rounds into the interview process for an Assistant Controller position in SoCal. For the next round, I’ll be meeting with the Controller, Accounting Manager, and 5 other junior accounting staff. I’ll have 30 minutes to explain a month-end close task (of my choice) to the accounting team. Also, I’ll have to analyze a random reconciliation and explain improvements that can be made. I’m just a 2nd year manager, so I’m getting so nervous, and any insight or tips would be appreciated!

Help a new international consultant in NAMR. Please. Tax planning season. 1. I have maxed out 401K. 2. If I put money in traditional IRA, and then roll over to Roth IRA - what is the tax treatment? If this is post-tax money, do I pay any additional taxes now or later on capital gains? 3. Are there other avenues I am missing? Thank you very much in advance.

I am so tired of work. Hate waking up each morning, knowing all the work in store for the day. Vacation helps but only temporary. Been at this job for 8 years now... maybe need a serious career change into non consulting or something completely different. But hard to jump due to steady salary growth each year.

I have a GRE from a few years ago equivalent to a 750 GMAT. Quant is the only section where I lost points. At this point, is it worth attempting a marginally higher score on the GMAT, esp quant?

What is the path to a GC for a senior associate on a TN? I’ve been with my firm since college (2 years) - firm policy is that they initiate the process after a two year tenure (and provided you are senior associate rank, at minimum). Will I be able to pass the PERM evaluation? If not, would things get easier with a subsequent promotion? Or would it be best to lateral to a new firm and start the process there? Sorry, super green when it comes to this
