Wear a suit and tie..just be safe it will never hurt .

I think this will depend on the region. I interviewed recently in SF Bay Area and I wore a short sleeved polo shirt. I can imagine some fashionistas in NYC throwing a fit if a candidate didn't wear a tie to a virtual interview, though.

Interviewing in Chicago if that helps.

No tie needed for audit

Bow tie and suspenders!!

for Chicago, I would. When Ive gone to natl trainings, all the west coast professionals are in polos and jeans, but the nyc and Chicago people are wearing suits 😂 Everyone else is somewhere in between the two

I think a dress shirt and a suit jacket works well- but somewhat dependent on industry- banking/ financial services- maybe a tie also. Just not a shirt, tie and no jacket- that makes me think someone is planning to go to junior prom. Always sweatpants.

Would you lateral from B4 into McKinsey as EM or take an industry offer that is $50k more in TC (thank MCK offer) and better wlb? The biggest push against taking the industry offer is that I’m not sure that i am super passionate about the industry or want to commit to that industry for the longer term. I am thinking I would be able to get similar exit opps assuming I do not make it to AP. What would you do if you were in my situation? It’s a good place to be, but I am losing sleep over this. TIA
