People who are long FAANG, do any of the government lawsuits coming worry you(antitrust/monopoly, content, etc) as a long term shareholder? I figure most of these tech companies may get a slap on the wrist but understand the risks. Heck, most of these senators are invested in these companies and are they really going to break up companies like Amazon & Facebook? Seems like they would establish an extremely dangerous precedent

Do FAANG lowball offers nowadays? Got an Amazon offer with 130k TC. I am making 180k TC now. The recruiter told me I should consider FAANG brand and career potential. I think Amazon already doesn't have great WLB, and it doesn't sound like they truly value me.

I hear a lot of negative things about Guidehouse on here, but I received an offer that’s a 20% increase from BAH. I’m making mid 70’s at BAH in the health market with 4 yoe in DC area. 1. What should I do for references? My company doesn’t know I’m interviewing, so who do I ask, when, and how? It’s not a question of who would give positive reviews, but rather who is appropriate to put in that position knowing they won’t want me to leave.

Real Talk: everyone complains about how many apps they send in and how many interviews don’t pan out in product. I just landed my 2nd product role in 2 years with pretty minimal interviewing. I wasn’t interviewing with or looking for a role at a FAANG or the latest greatest almost unicorn but I know what I want. I don’t think I’m great at interviewing but overall (even outside of product) I’ve gotten offers with not that much work tbh. What’s your experience here?

Our company went through an exercise of redefining product roles - from business analyst, product owner, product manager to assoc pm, pm, senior pm etc.
The concept is everyone with same skills - with different competency levels.
My question is - what about interest? I am energized by execution, not so much strategy. Is product management for me, or should I be looking at other career paths?
Note: I am not overly ambitious, but do want to have a good salary for my retirement savings😉
