Hi everyone, I need help evaluate an offer for senior data scientist at a mid size corporate in SF (mainly focus on statistical modeling and data analysis, no MLE related tasks):
$175K base + 300K RSU, no bonus, fully remote. I’m currently working at a unicorn with $115K base + stock options (best case scenario if stock price increase 11x I’d get around $300K out of it before tax) + 15% annual bonus, in office 2-3 times a week.

I'm a senior software engineer with 10 years of experience. I've been with my current company for 5 years. I started at 100k and now I'm only at 116k, which means they haven't even kept me up with inflation.

I'm happy and don't *want* to leave to have to get my worth. I want to ask for 150k (I've been seeing recruiters emails for 160-200), but I feel like that's going to sound outrageous to them.

Is this normal? I found out I am ineligible for a raise because I was hired 2 weeks after the cutoff. The company only does raises once a year, and if you're hired after a set date that year you cannot get a raise. I feel my situation/performance so far deserve recognition, but I am told I am ineligible for an increase until the next cycle, which would be 1 year from now, 1.5 years after starting.
