Did any one else’s firm just not engage with them during the majority of the WFH period? While when the lock down first happened we had a few zoom get togethers, they quickly disappeared. I’m only a first year and while my practice group ended up being pretty busy I had been hoping for more engagement from partners/senior associates. While I would set up calls and they would say yes, I can’t help but feel ignored by the lack of outreach. Am I asking too much to expect at least a monthly checkin

Anyone have regrets taking a pay cut to go in-house? I am a pretty junior attorney (2 years in big law) and have the opportunity to go in house at a large company (Fortune 25). However, pay is on the low end for Associate Counsel. Is a 60K+ pay cut (including bonus and RSUs) worth it for the growth potential? Maybe for the chance to move to a FAANG one day? Finally got an offer from EY GDS PH, 70k for senior 2 position. I was hoping to be assessed for senior 3 (assistant manager) as I was contacted by both KPMG and PwC for IT supervisor positions, and I asked for 90k with that in mind.

YOE: almost 6yrs, with people management experience but not supervisor level

I am thinking about trying to get some weekend shifts at a auto shop to learn how to do some of the basic things. Has anyone done something like this before? Is this even feasible?
