Depends on the company and position. It is on the longer end for a 1 on 1.
I recently completed 8 30 minute interviews in one day! My gawd I was worn out after
Coach
For reals this is exhausting. I had the 4 30 min by video conference with no break in between.
I’ll do 4 interviews, back to back each for 30 mins. I thought that’s enough to get the “feeling” If we are a match
Sometimes depends where you are in process. For intro calls 30 is good. But next round 30 is too short I find - when I was interviewing 45 was sweet spot but sometimes the hiring manager would be 1 hour or they just add additional interviews with hiring manager if you had shorter ones to start.
There’s no problem with it. Just pointing out in my experience for industry roles, I had virtually no time to ask questions in the 30 min interviews once we were past the first round. I was interviewing at multiple companies and those extra 15 min were crucial for me to get my questions answered and help decide if it was a company I could see myself at.
Depends on position and people. I recently had a 1:1 zoom interview that was scheduled for 45 minutes, but we talked for almost 2 hours.
Got a few 45min ones that went over time. An hour seems normal, which kinda blows.
I have a series of 6 45 minute interviews coming up🥴
Pretty sure it’s do to the remote environment. If it was normal times, then they would have flown me out to spend the day at the office meeting people and having the interviews.
Mine were all about an hour long.
