Highly unlikely at Bain.

Strong personal referral, flexibility about role (i.e. Not M-or-bust mentality), crush cases.

I was recruited as a PL. I brought expertise in a very high-demand field (and was honestly very lucky). I think this is the angle you need to adopt.

like

Yes with 3.5 years and M title you can for sure come in as a C if you pass interviews.

Everything says damn hard - super niche skills and amazing for expert tag might help. But even then the experts i spoke to had 10+ years experience

What do you bring to the table? What skills do you have that will excite McKinsey to hire you as an Associate/ Practice Specialist. Its more about the value proposition for experienced hires and less about grad/undergrad degrees. Also the firm is now more inclusive towards undergrads and promoting BAs to EMs in 3 years if they are good performers. So your chances are much better than what it was 3-4 years back.

Possible, but hard... like every other pathway.

Ditto to BCG1. I was a senior analyst with 2 years experience and came on as a first year associate (analyst).

If you're great anything is possible. Give it your best shot and work with the feedback you get

Thank you all for the responses, gives me a lot to think about

BCG4... payer/provider?

ATM can get you anything

I need thoughts on this situation. Mentee is a third year law student. He thinks he's going to graduate unemployed due to Covid. He's worked at law firms throughout law school, has good grades, and ran multiple businesses (still does). He wants to open up his own shop out of law school. Any thoughts? What is he going to miss?
