Received an offer to join a consulting firm as a Consultant specializing in Data Analytics and Visualization. TC is $180K. I would work with the big tech clients. My current base barely breaks $160K but the equity brings TC to about $185K however we are still private so not really $185K. I’m not enjoying the current role and am beginning to look for other opportunities internally. I do like the company culture and people. Should I try to stay and accept the lower salary or take a risk and jump?

I was recently promoted, which I am really excited about. But not so exciting is that my bump in salary is really small. Much smaller than expected and I believe smaller than industry benchmark. Is there a way to politely broach the subject with my boss and ask for a larger bump? Or no? I don’t want to seem ungrateful because I love my boss and she really championed the promotion. I also don’t want to burn a bridge. But I also feel let down by the tiny pay bump. Any advice?

I have an offer of 6.5 LPA fixed with Accenture (Level 11). Total CTC in Accenture is 7.8 LPA which includes variable pay. I have an offer of 8 LPA fixed with another company. I have accepted the offer of Accenture so now if I ask Accenture to increase my fixed amount to 7 LPA from 6.5 LPA, will my request get fulfilled and is this fair to ask?
