Is anxiety/mental unstability increased due to continuous WFH ?

Currently am doing WFH since March 2020, I am facing anxiety issue, anyone facing same, will it be resolved if I start working from office ?

Happened with anyone else and seen some change after working from office ?

Practice Yogo....stay healthy.
Love your job, incase not interested....just take it easy in your work and let it be what ever happens.
Try to acquire knowledge...then things will go easy.

Yes Gyming helps, but u cant keep running all yhe time.U need to understand ur personality type, wheyher u are introvert, extrovert and ambivert and plan future actions accordingly. There are 2 types of ppl, one who gain energy in social gathering and who lose energy in a social gathering, u really need to analyse where u lie and work accordingly on it. If u are first kind, then gyming will be great and while in gym also try to make connections who motivate u or challenge u to improve ur consistency

It happens because we don't meet people in person anymore. It is kind of hiding in comfort zone. Always remember work is work.. what they think of you , can never be changed

You need right doctor who understand your problem and start providing medication baki sab bakwas hai...

I faced this issue too. I did below and overcame .

1. I connected for only working hours.
2. Weekends - stopped checking MS Teams or Outlook in mobile device. I was doing it most of the time.
3. Stopped thinking much about office stuff.
4. Weekends - i started visiting different places and family members.

Try to do these and spend your quality time with your family, relatives and friends. Hope it helps. Cheers .

Yes it does happens. You need to calm down. You must be going through imposter syndrome which means you think you don’t know anything here and someday you will get caught.

It’s tough for few working from home. But most of them have the financial advantage being at home with Parents.

Make yourself a routine and allocate sometime every day or week to learn new things, it’s not easy though but keep yourself occupied.
You always have the option to go to office as now companies are encouraging employees to come to office

Yes I feel the same. It's because of not getting much social interaction. Its been two years of wfh for me. First year I had no social interaction for 5 work days every week, confidence drops and you feel unhealthy.

I started going to the gym regularly and roaming out with friends for some time when I get daily for past 1 year.

This reduced it, especially because of the gym I don't feel anxiety anymore.

This is very very true. I have been in the same situation. I tried gyming, taking vacays, playing a sport, making friends, therapy, excessive walking, socializing, spending time with family, and eveything that all these ppl have written above, but everything only worked temporarily. And with each attempt, and then failing after that, things only started getting deeper and bad to worse.

I switched to my base location, have steted going to office and nothing came close to any of the above solution. I am so happy, confident, anexoty free that even words cannot express. WFO made me realize the world outside the 4 walls of my room.Made me touch back with the real world outside. Where my effort and work firs in this large scheme of things, what my future can be, and what do I want it to be and howto get there. Socializing a bit regularly helps tackle a lot of questions that we seek answers for continuously. I am way more efficient in my work and on a very happy and positive path.

The exactly same is happening with me, nothing working and I also think WFO will solve the problem.

Buddy... Be cool!!! Do whatever that makes you happy after work. Dont take work as primary goal in life. Take a vaccation, a workation... If your contract abide you to work 9-6 work during that time, shutdown at 6 and live your life.

Hi Sharks,

I am having offer from HCL, Wipro, Persistent and one more in pipeline.

My current company TTL wanted to retain me with the same offer as HCL as 25L which is higher. There is hardly any difference between all the three offer's so I am getting confused

But the offer which is in pipeline will be of 28L and it's a Product based company from USA getting expanded in India.

I have deadline till 14 Dec to accept the retention offer

What to do?

It's the opposite for me. Wfh has given me time to focus on my health and family. I can easily juggle work. You have to learn to draw the line when you have to say no in WFH. You cannot keep working just coz you're wfh. Switch off your laptop and focus on yourself. It won't change when you change places, be it office or home. In office, it'll be something else. Don't give people the power to handle your mental health.

I have clinical anxiety since 2018, I have been on medications.
But after 2020, it increased significantly, reason included WFH as well. I had to take medical help.
Now things are better, also offices are reopened, we have hybrid work model, but I prefer coming to office, as I feel it’s better for my mental health.
I usually come to office 4-5 days a week, although it’s not required.
I hope this helps.

26 weeks pregnant and I’m really struggling. Fatigue ,back pain that extends to my leg and feels numb , unending hunger. I’m working from home but I’m not productive at all. My current CTC is 16L (13L Fixed) in Accenture and working as CL10 and WFH.
I got an offer from PWC AC Bangalore is 21L fixed and WFH with joining date 15th Dec.
Now I got a promotional offer in Accenture of 16.6L fixed (25% hike) to CL9 which will be effective from 1st Dec.
They are asking me to retain.
Could any one please suggest me the better option? My yoe is 7 years.

CRAZY STUFF GOING ON!!! An angry customer SPAT on one of my coworkers today when he told her to put a mask on for everyone's safety. Mask mandates are lifted where I'm from yet the majority of people tend to wear theirs. I'm sure this lady was from out of state so it's interesting to see the different responses between states. My coworker got a rapid test and he seems to be negative for now, I hope it stays that way.
