Is any start up company looking for a remote accounting and/or finance team? Looking to help some companies who are in the processing of expanding/looking to expand.

As I think about looking for a new job outside of recruitment, how do you reconcile leaving commission behind? I make 50k base but over 6 figs in commission within my first year, and I WFH. I’m still “early” career with only recruitment and admin work history, and it appears that any job I’d qualify for is realistically 45-70k.

*I’ll stay for the money, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it in face of the lack of management, their disciplinarian mindset, and the non-stop stress from it all.

Can someone please weigh these two offers for me?

Current Position: Base:120k, 5000-7500 annual bonus, profit sharing (15% of 120k salary). This is a job I’m good at, team is great, lots of free time during but limited to my house. In office 1-2 days a week.

Offer: Consulting position, 145k base, bonus up to 12%, 6% 401k match. Will need to bill at least 45 hours a week, consulting is completely new to me so the fear is the unknown as well as being overworked. Fully remote other than travel.

Our firm is looking for a Valuation Manager. CVA and/or ABV credentials or equivalent required. CPA preferred, but not required.

Even though things are currently remote, is it killing my chances of getting a job if my address is out of state on my applications?

I’m dead set on moving back out to LA, but recruiters aren’t gunna know that from just seeing my portfolio and application.

Many of us find it easy to WFH/Remote. (Well many might like the opposite or hybrid and that's totally okay)

But If you were called by your employer and you convince that you can work better from home and agreed to extend or convert you to remote..!

Hi! Looking for a fully remote role in fintech or a larger/global established organization after working in government for 12 years. Over 10 years as an HRBP/Sr and 2 years in a leadership role. Have my PHR/SHRM-CP and CCP. Love comp but my experience is limited to a smaller organization (500). Have applied to many roles but struggling to even get interviews.

Weird question- or confessional (unsure tbh)- do any of you ever play hooky? I billed all weekend (7 year atty in ID) and today is wicked weather in the south so I’m “wfh” but not really. I didn’t have time for Sunday scaries but now I’m having Monday guilts, as I cope by watching my dogs sleep and watch the GOT prequel out of the corner of my eye while going through emails. I have spent the whole work from home like this and switched jobs as well. But the blues of getting caught one day hit me badly.

Hi Fishes, I need help with this scenario. I have notice period of 90 days, the money you say 90 days, HR won't agree to move forward, so I told I will get release in 60 days.
