Is anyone actually passionate about the work they do? I’ve been at my firm a year and I have seen only a few people who looked happy

Passionate? No. Does the job support what I love? (Family, friends, travel, good meals, experiences). Definitely

Not going to lie, your energy and passion may be tested over the years as client situations change and the work you do is constantly in flux. However, if you find the core of Consulting does not excite you (or others around you) it just might not be the right fit. There really is no college degree for Consulting & nobody as a kid says "when I grow up I want to be a consultant;" so therefore a lot of this is OTJ learning and understanding if this type of constantly dynamic world is something you like to do. Life is too short not to do things that you're passionate about - just my two cents after 22 years in the industry

I am! I’ve been doing this work for 6y now at two different firms. I love the work that I do! Sometimes we have really tough clients and stressful situations, but the great clients make up for it in the end

That’s sad. Generally people I work with are happy and passionate about their work here. Might be different in strategy

Maybe it’s just my team. I work with wonderful people, but they openly talk about how they hate the work

I'm happy with my work. Been at Deloitte for 7 years and in this field for over 25yrs

What’s hps?

I really love what I do, I love my clients and for the most part, have made really great friends on my Accenture teams. I work in CD&O doing HR implementations, at the end of the day/project I know I’ve provided solid tangible improvement to past processes

Yep. Well, excited...experience from what I'm doing is directly applicable to my passion.
