Forest Hills is great. Less than 20mins to LGA and JFK, 4 subway lines, 2 Long Island Railroad lines, close to city, and nice/quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately, minimum $1mil for a house but you can buy apartments for less.
I personally like larchmont, mamaroneck, rye, harrison, greenwich, stamford - all on the coast. Once you cross into CT, you have lower taxes and express trains.
Yeah I get that. Same for me. Stamford would prob be my top choice for those reasons, but I live on the other side of the world right now. Hope to see you there someday!
I am! Native NYC resident and thinking of buying a weekend place upstate or in western CT. Assume it’ll be a schlep to either EWR, LGA, or JFK. Oh well.
Norwalk still has deals to be found and is on the north line
Everywhere is accessible to the airport if the airport is EWR!

I find that it’s harder to get to EWR unless you’re in midtown or already in Jersey. I prefer JFK/ LGA

Any thoughts on Greystone? Think it’s the northern part of Yonkers and has nice condos with pools and balconies facing the river
