Anyone else get terrible sick after leaving a toxic job? I left my old job earlier this year. Prior to me leaving, I had been dealing with some stomach issues, mainly due to stress, not eating regularly or balanced. I started my new job in the Spring and this summer, my stomach issue flared up pretty severely. Bad enough that I’m on multiple meds and taken so much time off of work being sick. I guess my stomach was like “let’s wait until she finds a safe work environment and then get sick.”
I’m writing a letter of resignation. Should I mention I’m leaving due to lack of growth opportunities and mistreatment (racial discrimination and bullying from Directors and supervisors) or should I wait until the exit interview to mention. Grateful to have had a job but happy to be moving on to something better and don’t want to burn bridges.
