Is anyone else contemplating life and what the point of anything is anymore? I was fine the whole pandemic until this month.

I felt this way early on. I’ve changed my mentality about it all, which has really helped. I’m seeing my family and close friends now like normal. Everyone is aware of and assumes the risks and we openly discuss exposures / test. People can hate on those choices, but for me and my family it was necessary emotionally. I don’t want to waste years of life I know I have (and I define life’s meaning as human connection) on some theoretical assertion that it might make me or some very attenuated person possibly live longer. I certainly take Covid seriously. I had it early on. I will stay home if sick, try to avoid at risk people, wear a mask, and will get the vaccine at first chance, but we have no idea how long the vaccine will last or if it will even work on these mutated strains. Covid is going to be with us a long time. I’m trying to get on with Iife responsibly but get on with it nonetheless. Just something to consider if you’ve been this sad. It’s really helped me. And once you get out a bit and get feedback from reality, you might find that the benefits outweigh the risks.

Here are some books to start with:

Siddhartha - if you’ve never read it or it’s been awhile, must read. It’s short and potent. Herman Hesse

Think and Grow Rich - I know, sounds like a business book right? No it is quite spiritual

This Thing Called You - Earnest Holmes, also short and potent, and engaging.

Walden Pond - go read that again now.

That’s a good start. Any one of those will turn your perception around

Yes! Agree on timing. As Radiohead said in Karma Police: “for a minute, I lost myself...” so I have been on a quest to find myself again. taking time to do the things I love but don’t do much anymore: outdoor activities like hiking, golf, trail running, swimming. Reading an awesome unpublished manuscript about a guy going to India to find himself. Reading about Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Taoism, Yoga and very little social media and NO NEWS. Journaling like hell. Going to therapy. Talking to my parents about topics we never got to. Getting real with them. I’m on the upswing, 3 weeks ago I was an absolute disaster. Let me dig up some book recommendations.

Yes! Life is always about living it, build your life to continue your family’s legacy, doing your best, help others when you are able, keep living it always to the very fullest share with family, friends, and others! Good luck!!

Either way, whether we leave genetic replicants or not, our legacy continues. Our spirit will go home to the infinite collective consciousness and comes back to work through some more karma.

Has anyone successfully dealt with scar tissue? I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks and a d&c. Had a 2nd d&c because there was more tissue. Then did an egg retrieval and before the transfer we did a hysteroscopy and found scar tissue. Removed the scar tissue, uterine balloon, and 4 weeks of estrogen therapy. Just did another hysteroscopy and some of the scar tissue came back AND I had an enormous amount of polyps from the estrogen. All of that was removed today and I have another (continued)

About 10 days ago I was exposed to someone who later tested positive for covid. I’m super careful normally. I got a rapid test 7 days after exposure and a PCR test 8 days after exposure and they both came back negative. Since about day 5 after exposure I’ve been SUPER tired though. I’ll drink a ton of coffee, way more than normal, and still feel exhausted. Then off and on I’ve been having stomach issues. Have any of you had this happen? I feel like I have to have it but the tests say no. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you want more from your career, but you can’t stop thinking about how stuck you are, you won’t get more from your career.

Thoughts —> Beliefs —> Actions —> Change

1. Think: what would “a better career” look like? Write it down.

2. Believe you deserve it. Believe it’s yours before you have it.

3. Take action:

- Suggest improvements at work
- Look for new job opportunities

4. The change in you already occurred and the next change will be in your career.
