We need a national shelter in place order to get these stragglers who refuse to get the idea
It was me, I’m guilty of being there yesterday
You should have fake coughed.
Park services should have shut off access to the blossoms this yeah. I mean how insane is it, “willing to risk my life to see some flowers!”

I wanted to go down hoping there wouldn’t be crowds. But I guess everyone thought the same. We aren’t going because of the crowds but might go really early on a weekday to see them but avoid the people
Just ran (alone) by this this morning. There are hoards of people not social distancing

I agree with both D1 and D2
I would rather shelter in place now for 2-3 weeks before it gets worse and we have to shelter for longer. Lock everyone down for now and we can save people, time, and efforts.
Yes, I know that shelter in place does not equal quarantine in your basement and not see the light or fresh air. Shelter in place DOES mean remain at home unless you have a necessary and essential reason. Aka shop if you need groceries, not just missing a favorite cheese or candy, go for a run, not hang out with friends at the cherry blossoms, don’t invite friends over for champagne brunches, don’t Uber / metro / bus around.
Wait... Where were you driving to?
Just keep 6 feet away and you will be fine.
Yeah OP will be fine but that’s not the point, all the people in the crowd are the risk

At the grocery tonight too people were not maintaining space either and I was 😡😡😡
Just took a 2 hr walk by the mall and tidal basin by my lonesome, staying at least 6 ft away from everyone else. It was definitely more empty than normal.
We are social beings.
With only exception that by being social right now, we disregard the well-being of others in the society. Seems pretty selfish to me.
Why can’t people grow up and just listen to cdc recommendation? It’s not all about person wants and needs. Just follow instructions and help the spread of the virus. Life isn’t all about our wants and needs all the time.
