My childhood !! 😃
I am relatively well adjusted, but unfortunately a common experience. Fight the urge to take it personally or get involved 💞💞 stay strong love
I feel this. At this point, I just restrict my time at home - I’m only going for 3 days around Christmas this year. Also, going to therapy myself to better understand how to set boundaries both with myself (recognizing it’s not your job to fix their marriage) and in your interactions with them (no, mom, I will not trash talk dad with you - that’s an inappropriate thing for a parent to talk with their child about) has helped - and it’s an ongoing journey.
Of course! 💕 Highly recommend therapy. And remember that your emotions and boundaries are very important regardless of how your parents make you feel.

Set those boundaries and have coping mechanisms available. Leave for a bit if you have to regain your space

Lol been doing this since March, but really since my childhood. Mom has agreed for therapy from the new year but I have to find her one 🙃.

Thank you! Had my sister team up with me who has a therapist, which helped! Also, being home my parents during covid has helped them realize that it’s unfair for me to be their therapist / marriage coach and I’ve vocalized how it’s messed up my personal life (at 24 still never had a boyfriend or even close...)
My parents have also agreed to couple therapy, too but doubt we can push to that point within 2021. Baby steps lol
