I would fly. I moved last week and there was one other person on the flight. Flight attendants let us sit in first class or pick any seat you want. Advice is to pick the first flight out so you know it’s clean and hasn’t been used for some hours. Bring your wipes and keep your distance. There’s barely anyone flying so it’s less risky than making multiple stops cross country for gas, snacks, bathroom breaks. The time is also shorter just to get it over with. Moving is soooo much work already.
Thanks! The early flight is a good idea. I’m pretty sure I’m the first one out...leaving at 6am.
I had to get on a flight 3/31, and less than 10 people were on it. I was flying East to west coast. There was a couple on my flight with a dog and a small child. Flying with all the empty seats made it a lot less stressful, so I would recommend it. Wear a mask if you have one and bring some wipes with you!
I just moved this week to a new city but it was a 3.5 hour drive (from Dallas to Austin). I'm on a 3 month lease so I'm planning to move July, from Austin to Seattle. No idea how I'm gonna pull that off yet 😂. Feel free to message me if you need moral support, I'm with you!!
Or driving across the country. Obviously a lot of risks with both. Also have a small dog and my husband to travel with. Movers have already been booked since they are considered essential. So logistics are all taken care of except how we’re gonna get back.
I just moved out of my apartment yesterday...movers were fine but who knows if/what I was exposed to.
My roommate had already moved out so extending my lease for the month and paying full rent wasn’t enticing.
Hitting the road tomorrow morning to hopefully pull off the 13 hour drive in one sitting 😅
I was planing on moving from east coast to Chicago in June, not sure if it’s still a good idea though 😕
