Is anyone else out there anxious about “return to the office” decisions by their firms? I’m noticing huge divides in global firms and individual offices (pro vs anti vax, masks, protocols, etc). Really curious how others are viewing the experience.

I will never work more than 2 days a week in the office again and will leave if they call us back in. Thankfully my client is pro telework

I’m unwilling to work more than 3 days a week in the office so I am simply doing that and if someone tells me I have to stop I will leave.

I'm anxious to get back to the office. I prefer the office. I still want to work from home sometimes, but I am more productive and I really miss the people and our teams.

I will leave if I have to go in once. I relocated. Willing to travel and visit once in a while.

Started fully remote and hoping to stay that way. Outside of a shared resource who works in my office, my manager and everyone else that I work with are all based in another state/country. My work flow won’t change/improve, so I don’t see a benefit in going to back to an office setting.

Feel good to be back in the office 2 days a week. [minus wearing pants]

My firm had a “work from wherever so long as you get your work done” policy prior to COVID. However, I get the feeling that leadership is realizing through all of this just how much of a waste of money our office space is when no one or just a few people actually are in the office. Now I am concerned that the “phased” reopening will lead to a change in the old policy.

i only have to do 1 day a week so far and i like that. no more than 2. my commute was insane before so if i have to go back to that, i might jump ship.

We are reopening and it looks like we will have to be back around Labor Day. Masks if not vaccinated otherwise until then you can telecommute or go in. Clients back in July 1.

We got ordered back to work yesterday, very abruptly, 3 days per week. Earlier guidance was to trickle in between now and September. Surprised mgmt didn’t even set July 1st or 6th as start date. People feel a bit blindsided, especially those living far away with family, or in the Hamptons. That being said, anyone who needs a lease in the city should get it ASAP and has already missed the lowest rents.

I like being home. I also feel that being home allowed me to excel more in my role. I was less tired, had more flexibility and more time to focus On my tasks and interests in the firm outside of my project. For everyone the experience was different but at home it seemed like it became about the work. If u did good work and got it done you were golden. With the office, so much more is added on top of that and I struggle with the BS. The thought of the office and the politics does make me very anxious.

Company is allowing those who enjoy working remote to come into the office at least 2 days a week. Those who miss the office can come in more. We requested a set amount of days and the company is making a floor plan to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. I’ll also receive my 2nd vaccine next weekend so no anxiety on my part.

Later I am thinking why the hell did I need to tell them. Did I do the right thing ?? Will my management create any issue regarding this. Is it a big issue letting clients know?what can happen?? I’m new to the firm. My third project my manager was very hands off. He’s wants to have a discussion with me about my performance. He did not give me any support to work with; even when I asked! And my direct manager agrees with him, but it was my third week. What to do? I feel like I’m going to say something crazy. Any advice?
