I recommend the book “Notes on a Nervous Planet” by Matt Haig. I started reading it before coronavirus and it could not be more timely. It’s about anxiety in the digital age with the constant stream of information
It’s understandable. You turn on the TV or radio, you hear about Corona. You can’t go to a theater, eat out, watch sports, or even come on this app without hearing about COVID-19.
Thankfully I’m listening to Coast to Coast AM and instead of talk about how COVID-19 was made in a lab and is a conspiracy theory, they’re reconnecting callers with departed loved ones. 😌 So comforting to hear something else.
Anxiety over COVID-19? Fly a kite. Bake some brownies. Take an epsom salt bath. Do something that gets your mind off the crazy going on around us.
CUT TO a very stressed-looking woman trying to fly a kite on 2nd ave in NYC. A cab honks. A homeless person tries to help her. He coughs. She starts to silently cry.
Yes. Been having anxiety all week, and work is so busy right now, but I’m so distracted yet unable to to anything.
