Anyone have luck interviewing with Salesforce? I’ve applied 2x and just get the auto rejection. For context, I’m a finance EA, 10+ years experience, masters degree. I’ve even had an employee referral and I don’t get to speak with a recruiter. Wondering if it’s worth doing some training on Trailblazer or any other tips people may have to get noticed. Salesforce
Don't lose hope! A ton of our skills are transferable depending on who you've supported, or what responsibilities you've had. For alternate titles look at office manager, project manager, program manager, chief of staff to name a few. I also had luck going through a temp agency in a temp to perm role (albeit not in quite so tough a market). I've also had colleagues who have pivoted to HR roles.
Become a notary and then take the signing agents exam (on line). In NY I get paid about $125 each for facilitating RE closings in my local area from firms in CA, etc. you’ll need to print docs which are about 100 pages, bring to client to sign and drop at FedEx when complete.
Hi thanks! I am actually a notary. My goal is for a career tho and not just a way to make quick cash but I’ll definitely look into this.
I don’t have any suggestions, but just wanted to let you know you are not alone! I was laid off in June and it’s a tough market to say the least. Almost everything I’ve received an interview for is not remote and I’m just not sure how I feel about that. Don’t lose hope I know it’s so hard.
You are definitely not alone! I have been out of work for a year and am losing hope as well. I’m on the same page as you with the remote work. Just stay on top of any recruiters you are working with, I’m finding that things are starting to pick up. Hang in there!
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement! I’m done working with recruiters tho. They’re all scum. The last one I worked with (just last week) had me do three rounds of interviews for a job that she knew all along was only going to be 10 hours a week but told me was full-time.
It depends what you call unemployed. I'm doing temp work in an industry that pays 1/4 of the minimum amount I'm supposed to accept for my skill level, while I continue to change my resume.
I'm starting to do public speaking engagements, start my own periodicals, and get into writing those books I've held concept for an amount of time going on years. I'm also President, Vice President, and other leadership roles in civic groups to keep busy and afloat, and the President of an analytics startup.
It didn't help my PhD was finalized in December. However I'm also a 1L now becuase I started this whole journey with a goal to end with that. I always knew I'd be starting magazines while in the actual law school part of the plan, now COVID19 issues are forcing that prediction!
Thanks for replying but unsure how any of this is relevant or helpful other than to elevate your own ego. Good luck in law school.
