Is anyone familiar with salary bands for Game Developer / Software Developer positions at Lockheed Martin ? Specifically entry level.. I know pay is comparatively lower for DoD, but I want to be prepared to identify a lowball offer. Glassdoor has Software Engineer salaries ranging 88k to 178k with an avg of $122k. I am not sure if there is room to negotiate at entry level, but might as well try. Relocation, hire bonus, etc.

Hello,
My name is Vania Awuah. I attend Regent University and I’m majoring in Industrial Organizational Psychology. I have my bachelors in Psychology. I am currently looking for jobs in my field such as consultant or human capital jobs. I have about 1-2 years in Human Resources but it is hard for jobs to accept me with my field. I let Regent University career service help me with my resume but I haven’t been able to find a job or get any job offers. Is there’s any advice or anything I can do? Regent University @
I'm looking to find a role in the UI/UX field and I'm transitioning from experience in graphic design. I have two leads right now but it's been a slow start. I would appreciate any feedback or advice regarding my resume and portfolio! www.cheyennetang.design/
One of my leads is for a very small startup and I would be their first design hire. I'm nervous about entering a role in a field I don't know much about. I was hoping my first job would be on a design team - any thoughts on that?
I wouldn’t expect anything over 90k if your an entry level SE with just a bachelors unfortunately.
You should be looking for relocation assistance, they pay you for a month at hotel and give you a daily food stipe d while you figure out your living arrangements. Plus they give you like 3k for immediate cash expenses upon relocation. Plus if you have things to move they have moving company that will come pack and pick up things and store them for upto 90days and drop it off at your final destination all for free.
As far as salary goes, depends on the site your are being hired to. If you get hired into a high cost of living area they you will be closer to the 90k range but not sure it will be worth it with the cost of living factor.
Speaking for the Colorado area, $122k is high and impossible (due to pay bands) for entry level swe at Lockheed. I’d say the range is closer to 75k to 95k. My entry level swe salary was around 80k.
For relocation you get 3k. I don’t know about the moving and packing, hotel for a month, and daily food stipend that LM2 mentioned. When I joined as an entry level, I was only offered the 3k.
they do offer 10-12.5k tuition assistance a year if you are looking for grad school. Id look into that if applicable.
