HI folks,
My current CTC is very low with respect to my YOE. CTC : 5.2 lpa
YoE : 4
Tech stack : Python , MLops
But now my manager has initiated H1B visa for me and the visa process is in progress.
Is it worth to wait till the H1B process completes to work in U.S (or) should i make a switch immediately. .

Seedy? Prob one of the areas with the highest rent in Brooklyn if not the city. Loads of restaurants and great transit options.
This. Park slope is a great, and very safe neighborhood, maybe the most safe neighborhood…

5th Ave is like restaurant row of Park Slope. You'll be on the edge, but just fine.
On 5th and Park it’s not bad at all and there’s a ton of good spots around. If you go to 4th that’s when it gets busy and a lot of loitering people. I’m a few blocks south of that in Park Slope.
+1 for park slope and 5th Ave being awesome. If you’re in the blue apts/closer to the 5th Ave corner on Park Pl, will note that key foods teardown and new apt building is starting construction here in the next couple months and will be big annoyance til 2024 ☹️
I lived on St. Marks around the time Barclays opened. It’s not seedy and nothing like the area around Penn. You do sometimes get crowds looking for bars/restaurants before or after events, but that’s about the extent of it.
We lived between 4-5th Ave close to park pl. if anything, I’d be more concerned about the noise level if you were to live on 5th. It’s all bars and restaurants! Also I’m old and have a baby so noise matters to me.
I live in the area. 5th Ave is busy and feels very safe. There are individuals and panhandlers that hang out on 4th but they are pretty harmless- I always see the same faces. There is also a good amount of foot traffic due to the Atlantic Terminal mall. Honestly Penn feels worse than Barclays does nowadays.
