All I know is that there's a drug screening, medical evaluation, and background investigation. I would assume all are extremely thorough since it's TSA. I have heard that it doesn't take a crazy long time though.

This is correct. Most background checks are the same too. Is there something particular you are wondering if it will show up on your background check?

Not based on personal experience . But according to my cousin, medical evaluation and background investigation will be conducted. I'm not that sure about drug screening.

Was laid off mid job search. Do I disclose it when HR screenings have already taken place? I was looking for a new position bc we were acquired and I didn’t like what I saw from new company. Completed my loop for an L5 TPM role last Friday (I split my loop into 2 days — game changer!). My biggest advice is use the peer informal interview to your fullest advantage. I got some extremely useful information from the individual on what the team does and I was able to tailor my examples / stories accordingly.

I heard back yesterday immediately after my debrief that I got the job!

Recently got called for an interview for strategy/ operations role by a Faang company. I had my first screening call with the hiring manager, mostly all behavioral questions so hard to tell the result. The one area I felt I could probably brush up on is program management as my current industry is Pharma and tech industries are different. So any advice on program management interview guidance would be helpful. I have 18 yoe but still quite stressed about it.

I am expecting an offer going from client coordinator to clinical qa manager. I am struggling to find a market value for this position. This is on Long Island. When looking up qa manager positions I am coming up with 125k-160k, but this would be my first management role and I only make 50k currently. I have no idea what to expect them to offer me and what I should go back with. My company does work for insurance companies. I know it's vague, but hoping for some insight. Thanks!

I've recently been contacted by QuantumBlack Switzerland for a Data Engineer role. Does anybody have any feedback about the culture of the company?

From the outside it seems pretty cool, but I would like to read some thoughts.

Also, any suggestion on how to prepare for the interview?

At the end of the interview, the person told me I passed the interview and they were going to talk to the Director who’s a level under them. It’s a yes for them and they’re happy to work with me.

I also sent my references. I don’t know when I can expect an reply. Recruiters from that company aren’t really organised

Rising 4th year here. I’m happy at my current firm, but I hear another firm is planning to try and poach me. Are firms seriously giving cold offers right now? Given the lateral market and that I’m happy where I’m at and have nothing to lose, I’m thinking I’ll ask for a ridiculous signing bonus and just see what happens. Is $100k too big an ask in this market for a rising 4th year? I’ve seen talk of $300k+ signing bonuses being thrown around (likely for more senior associates obviously).

Hi all,

Hoping someone could advice on it. I recently accepted a job offer and it has been discussed and confirmed via email/phone that my starting salary is £26k and will raise to £28k after 6 months probationary period. Now, I have been sent the contract but there’s no specific statement about the £28k salary after probation.

It might be a stupid question but I am worried about raising this as an issue. Is this normal? Or is it better to ask for a revised contact with the specifics?

Just for fun - how did you get in to HR?

I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, but in college (as a psych major) I randomly got a work study job in the HR office and enjoyed it. Graduated in 2009 when finding a job was impossible and wanted to continue in HR but ended up in payroll for a few years. Finally got an HR admin role with payroll duties, and have since worked my way up and dropped the payroll duties along the way (thankfully 😂)

I have a lead on my team who I discussed this with who doesn’t think there has been pressure at all. Suggestions ? I don’t know who the person is.
