Is anyone here friends with their fellow colleagues? I started a remote job several months ago and no one goes into the office. We see each other over zoom and have the occasional group meeting in person. I’d like to get to know these people better and grabbing lunch or a coffee is doable but I’m wondering what has worked for others in a remote world?

Anyone hiring an entry level programmatic or ad ops role? (Remote preferred) location: Bay Area/ NY but open to new location.

As per my communication with the team, once a week we need to work from office.
Can anyone tell me if Barclays can allow WFH or instead of once every week can we work for one entire week and then take WFH for next month?

Any recommendations on negotiating telework (remote work) for a federal position that’s provided an Firm Offer? I was informed by an agency officer that my request can be considered if an offer was given along with my request for higher salary.

Offered a promotion where I countered for a higher rate and remote work. The firm reported that my counter offer was going to take weeks to discuss, but I wasn’t “asking for an arm”. Two weeks later they approved the initial offer without consent and against my written request to hold off until negotiations concluded. Now, I’m told that my actions have fractured the relationship

I’m looking at transactional in house roles for hedge funds and a PE style fund. Hedge funds would likely incorporate more general “keep the lights on” work as well. What does clearing conflicts look like when you move in-house?

I accepted a new job back in the summer of 2020 that required relocation for the office opening in Jan 2021. Office is still closed and I haven’t moved. Now we are rolling out a new plan that you just need to be near an office but only go in a few times a year for specific things. There is an office close that wouldn’t require me to move and I’d prefer to work there given the situation but HR is still insisting I’ll eventually need to move. This is so silly 🙃

For Meta counsel, how easy is it to switch teams once you are a lawyer in house there? E.g if I am on a product team at Meta, would it be difficult to go to a different team? Like payments to messaging for example? Or from meta product to Instagram well being?

When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.

Is this standard, or should I be looking for opportunities elsewhere?
