I was making 200k base as a sales engineer. I hated every min of bullshitting clients and left for a more chill job.
What exactly is a sales engineer? I’ve always wondered.
Product Director at a small biotech making a good amount over that. Like what I do and think it’s highly meaningful.

250k last year, I love my job. I’m a TMT specialist but work across functions (mostly operations though).
I love my job to the point that I am not looking forward to retirement. I work approx 30hrs/week, and make over 300+ in TC.
No more than 20hrs of the 3hrs is behind the computer btw.
Loool. All good!
I love my job - TC is about $400k. I do a lot of work in our Consumer Products practice. A lot of diversity of projects but a lot of Ops focused work. Really like the people and the impact of our work.
Hey! It is a fun team and has a super open / transparent culture. The caliber of people is far higher than my last consulting firm and we building significant capabilities, so the future looks bright. I just worked with some TMT people on an proposal, very smart & helpful people.
