Two weeks ago I was pulled into a room and told by current employer that I was getting my $890.00 holiday pay out. Which would be taxed at 40 % because it was a gift. Today, never received it. She called back said it was handled and I would indeed get it next week with my regular check. 30 minutes later…boss called back and says that HR did some digging and found that I’m not eligible. 1) Monthly performance pay is 9.25 percent of CTC. Recruiter is saying this is fixed salary. Is this component always fixed or there are scenarios when company can deduct this? Even if one is on bench, is this fixed?

2) Performance Bonus / Quarterly variable is 12.7 percent of CTC. Is this too high or standard for all people at C3B level?

3) Together both make variable 22% of CTC. Is it normal or too high?

I have around 2.5 years of experience in a boutique consulting firm and am contemplating between PE vs generalist role. Around 60% of the projects I have done are in PE practice in my current firm so not sure if I am eligible to apply for PIPE/PEPI.
