I’ve advocated getting the lower levels (analyst, sr.analyst, consultants) more heavily involved in the planning and ideation process. I expressed that this falls on all levels and if the company says that it’s serious about developing dynamic leaders then D&I support should flow from the bottom up and be supported from the top down.
Yes but tbh man, i just think it’s meant to bicker. Like do you honestly realistically think that the corporations we work for are truly going to make something shake? Do you know how many people at PwC came here to slander the CEO because he said that if you’re ok with the George floyd issue it’s BLM you should leave? Boyyy they ate this man alive. So nah i really think it’s counterproductive. It starts with individuals

I was added to one but have yet to see any real change and/or movement.
What are some things that you are hoping to see? My company has recently started ours and while we have some good momentum at the moment, I don't want to have the same feelings that you do.
Along with many of the answers already given, how do you advocate for other underrepresented groups that may not have an affinity group without your company.
I’ll also add once you develop your metrics creating KPI’s to assure the goals stay on schedule.
Change ..come on guys these aren’t intended for change, they are meant for PR, and Risk management..y’all realize these have been going for 20 year now ...and corporate American is the same if not worse
In a specific market unit our I&D lead put forth 5 pillars that are trying to specifically aim to address the racism and lack of Black diversity- Sponsorship/Advocacy, external community impact, ERGs, education and HR. Don’t know about the other market units tho
Retention and data transparency
Recruiting, retention, promotion and sponsorship / mentionship with metrics and targets. I think all of it hinges on executives being held accountable and strong transparency. Also pushed for ERG funds and stronger integration between the ERG, D&I and HR. Haven't seen much action though.
Helping Ally’s understand how to be better ally’s and educating them on things that are readily google-able. That seems to be the focus currently. Hopefully will shift to the actual issues soon.
