Been a long time since I looked into it but I was super interested in them in Uni. From what I heard the culture isn't great, in big part due to the CEO. When I chatted with someone at the firm they said the majority of their work was more research than traditional strategy work. Take what I've said with a grain of salt though because it's been 3 or 4 years since I've heard any of this though!

It's Michael Wolf's company. The man is a walking disaster... but gets business because clueless TMT execs think he is God due to his brilliant self promotion skills. The character "rainmaker" in the book House of Lies (and later the TV series) is based on him. Read the book and you will know all you need to know about the guy.

As an immigrant, I’m grateful for the opportunities afforded to me since moving to the USA. But, I must say, it still doesn’t feel like home after a decade. I still cannot wrap my mind around the gun culture, lack of universal healthcare and emphasis on education (critical thinking). I’m planning to leave in the coming year or so. COVID really made me realize that life is indeed short.

You CAN be that leader that people want to work with. 1st, self assessment is required. Be honest: As a leader, have you engaged in/accepted Attribution Bias with a dash of gender &/or race bias? (See the pic) This is something we all need to be aware of as we lead our teams, provide performance feedback, & model the behaviors we'd like to see more of on our teams. Be on the lookout for Attribution Bias in yourself & on your team. It's a hindrance to creating a high-performing, inclusive culture.

A1 here. I used to really like accounting. Liked it in school and had no issues with the CPA. Loved tutoring people in accounting . Absolutely do not like auditing - I feel like I am not using any accounting knowledge and I know it is not for me. Also do not like the PA culture. Is this normal and are industry accounting / financial analyst roles better? When should I look to leave?

Apparently there is no longer a need for all my bad ass advertising moms to stress about how to juggle work and kids during the day. Seems reasonable.
