Is anyone seeing a new rise in rsv and the flu? I’m worried it’s going to be another long winter with this tripledemic

I'm glad at least that RSV is finally getting coverage so people are aware. But yeah now is not the time to be having declining flu vaccinations

Ugh...yes, last month was my last day at bedside and it was about 30 patients on floor with RSV and or Flu A.

Yes. Been seeing a lot of cases of the flu starting the past couple of weeks. It's really hard to trust bringing your kids outside. Too sad for the kids not able to fully enjoy the snow.

I haven’t seen a lot of RSV but absolutely more flu. I’ve heard of several that have had RSV and pneumonia also.

I work at a pediatric hospital and have seen a ton of RSV. The last two weeks it’s been more flu than RSV.

My kid got RSV for the first time last month. When we went to the ED, it was packed with sick kids. According to our hospital, RSV is finally on the decline but flu and Covid are picking up.

Yes adults with flu on the rise. Not so much COVID although we have about 50 of them daily in house. Census lately has been 100-109%

Yep, we're seeing a lot of reluctance around not getting the flu jab and are working towards some kind of messaging urging people to get it. Better to be preventative than defensive!

Yes. I have been seeing it in the news. I hope it doesn't escalate as big as covid. We all need a break.

Yes. I have been seeing it almost everywhere. I am worried about it too. We're still not done with Covid yet.

Yes, the ER's been seeing plenty of kids with RSV cases left and right. The same goes for the flu in our department.

Yes! It's full-house over here. A lot of kids got it from school, parents said. Stop sending your sick kids to school!

Yes. We got a few cases. Still manageable but I'm hoping that it won't increase further.

RSV was going around my daughter’s daycare, Flu going around at work. (Location: Albany,NY)

Yep. My kids both got RSV a month and a half ago. They're both under 4 and it was rough. There was a huge outbreak here. And now down with a stomach bug this week. Flu numbers have been more or less stable.

adults don’t get RSV? I keep seeing all these comments only mentioning the kids ?

My town was in a panic as well. Flu was definitely going around at schools and workplaces.

I have a student with autism. He is mostly behavioral and at a lower learning level so he has to be in a separate classroom. We try to let him play with the students at recess or join in class parties. He has a sibling that attends school as well. When we were waiting in car line a group of girls talked about how they feel so bad for the sibling because of my student. Thankfully, neither student or sibling heard. But how do I respond to that as an adult? Especially, if they do hear?

Marital counselling, mental health and therapy (through certified professionals) has been a taboo everywhere, but this is especially true amongst desis - be it in India or desis abroad. However, I’m curious to know how effective or useful it has been for people who have ACTUALLY gone through counselling when going through marital issues, for example. There are many comments recommending it, but are people speaking from personal experience or because it’s been popularised in web series/movies/TV?

My confession is that I have seen the medical field change so much over the past 20 years, that it's unrecognizable in both good and bad ways. More people are leaving than staying, and I am worried the quality of care is dwindling. I try not to burden friends and family with some of the things I've seen recently, but the short version is that I'm no longer sure I have faith or trust in it myself.

How long are people being positive with covid for?? I know some people that are symptom free for over 2-3 weeks but still coming back positive?? How is this possible?? Are they contagious? Most jobs suggest if your symptoms free for 10 days then you can go back to work...yet some of these people are still testing positive. Thoughts???
