Currently doing this as a result of recovering from Covid. There is a sub in my room for supervision and all students log into zoom and I teach the lesson. So I have students in the building and students at home in my classes. It actually has been pretty smooth since we are a 1:1 district.
We do not either but it sounds like a nightmare
The students are kept in our media center and use their chrome books to see the lesson just like if they were home
I do not.

How in the world would that work? An aide watches the kiddos while the teacher teaches online?
Yes, actually heard about that. Someone (I want to say to say a private school) taught from home while a para stayed in the room. No idea if it was a medical issue but it was this past fall because of covid.

I don’t have that but I hear the person in the room is literally called a “babysitter” who is I assume (but don’t know for sure) a sub while the actual teacher is through the computer. For some teaching areas, like math, it is easier & ultimately cheaper than having the teacher out & a sub creating the curriculum. There are some severe teacher shortages... can’t imagine why... 🤦🏻♀️🤣
There is an adult supervising. Our world language and creative arts classes are being taught this way with teachers on campus but in offices or at home, while kids who remain in pods are in classroom spaces and the classes are taught asynchronously on those days when the kids are in the building.
I teach Spanish and have a baby at home. I’m trying to keep my job and stay home to teach, but no one seems to have a plan yet and students return on the 21st. If I can’t stay home and teach then I’m taking maternity leave. I don’t want to do that, but we are a large county, and I just can’t risk getting my little ones sick. I can’t get sick either. Such a stressful situation. We still have no idea what the plan is to keep everyone safe. We don’t have that meeting until the 13th and we HAVE to be there in person. 😳
I teach from home (due to medical) and my students are in the cafeteria with a couple other classes (teachers who are also remote) and they zoom to me. Out of the 100 students I teach only about 40 of them chose hybrid (or a few are all 5 days in), everyone else remained remote.
