I’m currently applying for jobs, and I’ve received 2 offers. The company I like more wants to pay me 5K less than the other company. How can I bring up that I’m receiving a higher offer at another company to negotiate a higher offer with the company I prefer?

Thoughts on giving your two + weeks notice after you’ve been told you’re receiving a bonus (and it would actually be paid while you’re still at your current firm just after you’ve told them you’re leaving)? Or does everyone just wait until their bonus actually hits their bank account? Being able to give my two weeks early/mid December would be a lot better for me but don’t want to jeopardize not getting my bonus (which comes usually 3rd week of December).

Most likely getting fired, tips on how to find a job ASAP? I made a pretty big mistake that required supplemental filings with government offices to fix (missed some items when reviewing/comparing long lists of things across 20-30 years). It’s fixable and the client isn’t really getting hurt by this (worst case signing gets delayed), but my anxiety is telling me to prepare for the worst. Can I ask for extra time at the firm to find a new job (so I wasn’t “fired”)? Or should I go for severance?
