Aussie lawyer looking to relocate to MA, USA. Should I go through the more painful process of sorting the MA bar, or just do NY and hope that I get a job that doesn't require being admitted to MA bar?

I feel like I’m the only one in my office that really understands what’s going on. I live downtown in a major city and saw the extreme violence out my window. My office got vandalized and nobody in my office really seemed to understand. I felt like they were all looking at me like I was overreacting because I did not go into the office today even though we’re all back open. Does anyone else feel this way? Beginning my search for a new job and it feels like I'm trying to learn how to ride a bike again. I've done this before but that was to get into consulting. Now I'm trying to get into a less traveling role and have no idea where to begin. I want to move into software account management and eventually into full on sales, but without real sales experience chances are looking slim.
