This is such a tricky situation. Is there any way you can set boundaries, provided the ask is unreasonable? For example, “In the next XX hours, I will work on A and B. I anticipate completing A by EOD. I have prioritized C for tomorrow morning. Is there a different way you would prefer me to work on these?”

Hmm..Decide how much shit you give about this job and then face your supervisor or ignore him/her accordingly

Now I have a few doubts.... 1. what are all the chances of getting rejected in this round. 2. how long I can expect to work from home. 3. Is it possible to get transfer to our native city once joined and WFO started. 4.How/ will be the yearly hike and WLB and job security. 5. How much Fixed CTC I can expect (Having 2.5 YOE) 6. How long will it take to get offer letter.

COVID WFH has put me several time zones away from my client (I’m further west and their culture is to start the day early anyway). It’s a new project so I don’t have relationships built up. How much pushback on morning meetings is reasonable? I know the project can’t operate totally around me but these start times aren’t sustainable...

Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

I have work to do but I’m tired so gonna take a short nap. I’ll finish later and work late if I need to. I won’t miss a deadline, and my team won’t suffer. Good night! This has been an ad for keeping WFH/hybrid going instead of forcing people in 5 days a week.

How can I set the stage this year to negotiate a lower billable hours expectation instead of a raise? As a woman I'm hesitant to be open about my reason: I want more time at home with my kids. I lateraled to this firm a year ago for WLB and they are indeed flexible on WFH which helps. Salary is a bit below average for mid-size firms like mine in my area, and I didn't get a raise or bonus this year because I didn't hit the billable target (1900). Ideally I'd keep my salary but go to 1600 hours.

I’m struggling to fight my way out of wearing so many hats at the agency I currently work for. I produce, shoot and edit our low budget client projects (typically social or digital video content).
