I have been working hard for a project since 8-9 months really hard giving KT to team preparing docs for documentation debugging testing things out did automation being a manual tester
Since i was divided into 2 projects another colleague who was also in the project was made the TEST lead
We were both doing equal but obviously a lead gets more limelight due to that my manager has awarded her with 25k as a reward
While i got only verbal recognition Now i am quite mad not sure what to do

I need to move to a HCOL city from a LCOL of living for personal reasons. Do people have advice how to approach this conversation with compensation? Company has offices in these cities and have been told that the HCOL cities do have a higher pay band (i.e., DC, New York). I raised couple of snapshots more than a couple of months ago. Despite constant reminders my 1 snapshot is not being approved.

Due to that 1 pending snapshot my 80% mark is not being touched. What if I was looking forward to mid year appraisal/promotion?
