Is there a standard package for strategy and ops role at FB (4 years post MBA)? I just have no context on what base/bonus might be and what is standard in terms of stock/signing bonus. Thoughts?
Need Advice: I recently cleared the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam which inspired me to go for one other cert in the cloud world. However, I am confused if I should go for the next AWS cert (Solutions Architect) vs Google’s Cloud Digital Leader cert? Can anyone recommend anything here? Goal is to move out of consulting asap and get into FANG. TIA!
Posted in Big 4 bowl but reposting here: Looking to move into a general Consulting Staff/Business Transformation/Strategy position mid-late 2022. Was eyeing a Summer/Fall 2022 Business Transformation Staff position at EY in particular, but it has dropped off. Any idea of when positions like that will typically open up across most firms? Want to get in early, open to any firm. I do not have an MBA, but I am client facing and work in commercial markets currently. TYIA!
Recently started at Bain (post MBA), but was given opportunity to join a first time fund ($200m AUM). Pay is 50% more. Ideally would like to stay for ~2 years at Bain before making a switch like this to buy-side. How likely are opportunities like this to come down the road? Don’t want to jump the gun and forego having a Bain credential. Help!
MD or MBA? I got into both. I know most will say choose the MD, but hear me out: MD: I'd have to go into a specialty to have a good IRR given my salary & the $200K+ debt. By the time I'd be done with residency the US may be in a single payer system. US doctors make 3x the amount in France and 2x vs UK.. I currently make what a doctor makes in France. That could be the future here, too. MBA: 1 yr. Europe. I'd make about 15-20% more vs. now.
20+ years in the military as HR Officer with training and education leadership experience. As I look towards transition to civilian sector I’m considering increasing tech experience to diversify my career and provide better options. Full of soft skills and management experience, but few tangibles. I’ve explored Trailhead, but I’m not sure system admin is right path. Any suggestions? 2+ years until transition. Is it worth joining MBB firm? How does it impact your long term growth? Recently promoted to senior manager in tech consulting space and I am considering to take a paycut (about 50k) to join Mckinsey at post MBA consultant level. I want to hear feedback from MBB fish here. Most of my friends think it's a bad move..
Thinking of applying to MBA next fall after two years of consulting post-undergrad. 760 GMAT, 3.3UGPA, with a Master's Degree. Realistically, with only two years of work experience and a 3.3 GPA, are H/S out of the question? Am I out of the running for M7? And if so, how can I strengthen my application now for the fall? Should I wait another year or two?
How much of a value-add are Exec MBAs? I've not come across many of them. Been in IB for 9 years (no MBA) and wonder if it's something I do around the time I try to move up?
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question, but engineering MS degree (e.g. applied stats, CA) vs MBA if I wanted to do product management? I am a 2nd year BA looking to go back to the States via grad school (was initially kicked out cuz of Trump) so debating which option would be better if i wanted to transition into PM. My undergrad major was Econ

Need advice on whether or not to use an MBA consultant. Any opinions / thoughts appreciated! Situation: just turned down a promotion and quit my job because it doesn’t align with my career goals and was becoming a waste of time. Planning on spending the next 10 weeks studying for GMAT and applying for new jobs/volunteering, then applying R2 for 2021. I have a 3.9 GPA in a non-traditional major (French lit) from a “fake Ivy.” Only M7s I’m interested in are Kellogg and Sloan. (Cont.)
If you come from non-target undergrad, will you eventually need to get a prestigious MBA to be a successful director/managing director in banking?
is Bain really so far behind mck/BCG? surely doesn't matter that much, particularly at the pre-MBA or immediately post-MBA level
Any McK (or other) people here who left the firm and returned later? (Excluding BAs returning directly to ASC post-MBA) 2 Q's: (1) why? (2) how do you compare your perception of firm before vs. after?
Has anyone done the one year MBA program at Kellogg or Johnson Cornell? If so, what was your experience? Did you go back to work at your previous employer?
Anyone have any experiences moving from "IT" to Management Consulting? The plan was to get an MBA, but 8 months into my career, my firm is laying off analysts, so I'm looking at my options.
Opinions? Management now requiring everyone to have 45 billable hrs per week, not including mandatory concepting n pitch work. Most people participating in 2-3 initiatives at same time. Is this normal

Looking at an in-house role with a company with ~$1b sales & not publicly traded. Midwest market. What should I expect / ask for, in terms of bonus and other types of non-base salary compensation?
Now that the Uber Card is changing it’s terms for the worst. Any recommendations on a new credit card? Would prefer no annual fee, but needs good return on restaurants, travel, etc. or a combo?
Has anyone ever accepted two offers and have both companies file for the H1B transfer at the same time to max chances of staying here? What are the consequences/downsides?
Should an employment lawyer consider getting a PHR/SPHR certificate? Is it worthwhile? A lot of in house opportunities seem to be looking for them

After you have given notice in California, do you still accrue PTO for the time between when you gave notice and when you depart the law firm?
There are still gender imbalances in promotions. I think we should do what France does and issue fines for unjust promotions. See link
Are there women here that have a significantly larger income than their male partner/ spouse? My husband used to make a little more money 10 years ago when we first met (when we were both making under 60k). Then I started climbing a fast track career ladder and now make a total comp of close to 300k and he is still under 80k... (which is totally fine with me btw). But I have noticed that this has caused a lot of serious issues for our relationship. any advice?
