I saw a Staff 1 being 35 in training.
No, if that were true then Mormons are all too old to be consultants - since they all have to do a 2 year mission after undergrad
27 and a staff 1 here. Experiences I've had before consulting have helped me get staffed on exciting projects and will hopefully lead to faster promotions.
You are just starting out. Relax.
Also a staff 1 and 24. Straight out of college myself
Hmmmm OP do I know U?? I'm turning 24 later this week as staff 1
Nope
Pretty sure it's pretty common to have your 24th birthday a couple years after your undergrad.... this is very normal
I am turning 29 this year and will be senior 2. I used to think the same way because we have a nasty habit of comparing ourselves to others rather than focussing on our own goals and performance. In time you will find it doesn't matter. I know sometimes it sucks to see younger folks at higher position than you but remember you do not have the same experiences and careers paths so it's unreasonable to expect similar progression.
No way - You will have a different background to people who are 21/22 and straight out of school.
I started my first proper job (in consulting) when I was 24, and now I'm 27 and a manager. If I didn't have the experiences I got before joining the workforce it would have taken me at least twice as long to get here.
Staff 1 and 24...
I was 24 when I was a Staff 1. Way to be optimistic about the early promos. Wish that was how it worked...
