I've been in accounting for almost 20 years and I'm ready for something completely unrelated.

Recently I had an emergency that required me to leave work around 10am on a Thursday to take my 5 year old son to the ER. I let my manager know he was going to be admitted and I wouldn’t be at work the next day. Friday morning I get a text at 8:05 asking if I’m coming to work. Not, how’s the little one? You guys okay? I never miss work, ever, and this felt like a complete slap in the face. I’ve wanted to quit for a while, but this is the icing on the cake. Should I say something to my manager?

I sometimes get jealous with the content creators getting their first house or first car (luxury cars) under age of 25.
An influencer/actor (who might even not know the basic ingredients or raw materials of a product) get paid from lakhs to crore to promote a product while an engineer who is involved in the product of that particular product gets only around 3-7 lakhs for the complete year.
