I've always viewed Canada Goose as the status symbol brand, though they do make quality jackets. I've found that North Face, Columbia, Patagonia, etc. make similar quality jackets at a cheaper price
Ya definitely a status symbol, as it is with almost anything designer or brand name though?
It’s all about Moncler
I got a moose knuckles recently and it’s a total game changer. Don’t feel cold at all even in these below freezing temps.
Hard to get behind the name but I’ve heard good things
Can’t beat north face. I’m all in on vintage now too. Hit up Grailed or eBay for a vintage north face wave.
I have 2 lands end winter jackets - very impressed by both
Nothing touches my Canada goose in terms of durability and warmth - have one that’s going on 8 years old and still day 1 new. Moncler looks nicer but def not as warm!
UBR and Norwegian Wool look good for a more business/professional look, but I do not have first hand experience with either.
Check out Parajumpers Gobi just got one. Amazing engineering and super cool story behind it. Moose knuckles also great. Moncler are nice but quality vs price not always there for the products <£1000. I’m not a huge Canada Goose fan v mainstream now and branding feels a bit too dominant on their garments for me.
Eddie Bauer and Lands End are the same warmth, but look slightly less good and are slightly heavier. But they're also 1/10th of the price. Up to you
Moose knuckles hands down. Was very comfortable with the coat in 5 degree F weather and snow. Never had any durability issues with feathers or rips.
Picked up a north face parka from an outlet mall for $149, definitely good enough for almost 1/6th the cost
