Hi fishes, can anyone from Impetus tell me how much yearly hike is given by the company. I have offer from another company which is paying 3 lakhs more plus 1 lakh joining bonus. But their yearly hikes are almost negligible (3-5%). I plan to stay long with my next company (min 3 years). So if impetus can offset the ctc after couple of year I will go there. Please help! Would suggest posting this in Chicago consulting bowl. But personal opinion is it’s MCOL
MCOL sounds right. Tier 2 according to PwC
It’s the Platonic Form of a MCOL city
MCOL for sure
It sorta depends on how many tiers you are making; if you put NY and Bay Area in VHCOL, I’d consider Chicago as HCOL
Rising Star
Mcol
It's is not HCOL. At Accenture it's tier 3 out of 4
15 YOE doing what?
Thanks SM1
Compared to other major/significant cities it is definitely a MCOL. A person can live reasonably well here on 50k.
HCOL is only 3 cities; NY, LA, SF.
Yea high cost of living due to inflation doesn’t make a city suddenly HCOL. Most cities are at that point now. By tier in how their cost structured into paybands, it’s those 3. DC and Boston are Tier 2.
