Opposite trajectory here: degree in CS, now in a much more business focused role:
Truth be told, I'm not a great fan of bootcamps! I've had project members who transitioned in that way, and they invariably knew how to "code" as in "knew the syntax for X language" but had little to no understanding HOW and WHY these things worked (I refer to it as "don't know how to computer"). As a result, many have struggled with solving issues, or have come up with some rather puzzling designs.
Notable exception: a former report who really, really wanted to be in Tech. She was an exceedingly hard worker and was also very clever to begin with. She essentially obtained a CS degree equivalent by studying in her spare time on top of her bootcamp and is now doing extremely well in a hard tech role.

It is, just set your expectations about the roles you would gain access to, depending on many factors. Think of making 80k as a web dev for an accounting company, not making 200k at faang.
