Is coming to the office/client site with slightly damp hair (completely dry 45 min in) unprofessional?

Yes, it makes you look like you overslept and didn't have time to finish grooming before coming to work.

@mckinsey1- that makes no sense and is not even a legitimate comparison.

It's just difficult as someone with long thick hair to work out in the morning and dry it all the way. It takes 2 hours to dry. I've looked this up too and I feel like there are always mixed answers

like

I'm a dude and I feel like this is a stupid as hell thing to judge women on. As long as there is not an important client meeting in the morning, you shouldn't have to show up with 100% dry hair

like

No...I don't think so. I do it from time to time

like

Yes, it looks awful. Take the appropriate amount of time to groom.

Imagine a guy showing up with shaving cream on his face

My hair is the same way. But I agree, it doesn't look good (stupid bias, but it's there). Instead get a good dry shampoo, use it and blow dry the sweat out.

This has been asked before (by you)

Just cut it off.

Not at all.

(Roughly 1 hr-45 min blow dry)

I am used to seeing that in a corporate environment. To me it suggests that the person may have worked out in the early morning, before heading to work. That has positive connotations for a variety of reasons. I would recommend against it if you have an early morning meeting with senior management at a client, but otherwise I see no issue with it whatsoever.

like

No, it's not your Sunday brunch. Damp hair has a weird smell

I feel your pain, as someone whose hair takes a full 24hrs to air dry. Is working out and washing at night not an option?

If I wash my hair in the mornings I always make sure that blowdrying it is the last thing I do before I leave and that my roots are completely dry. The ends will dry quickly from movement.

Thanks for the input! A1 no I haven't actually asked this before but I'd like to see that post. I'm thinking of just putting it in an updo on mornings where I absolutely don't have time to dry. I love working out in the mornings because it feels amazing but simply don't have time to dry fully. EY 1 maybe I'll also try just drying the roots

I know my client needs an Accounting Manager. I know this because they’re startup med device company that has their books in complete shambles. The current accounting team isn’t very strong. I am writing this here because I hope that maybe a woman can understand where I am coming from and what I should do. I joined Accenture January 2020 as a level 11, long story short, I talked to my CC about mid year promotion since January as well as my director. I learned on Friday I’m not up for promotion. My CC tells me because he didn’t see any client input feedback in the PA tool so he didn’t enter anything for promotion. My director tells me he thought I started with Accenture January 2021

Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.
